How do you make a news article go “viral”?

That was the question always on our minds as content writers for the viral news website Carbonated.TV.

We used politically-targeted social media posts to attract our audience of tech-savvy millennials. The writing pace was crazy (3 to 5 article per day!), but it was a great adventure to spend a couple months riding the 24-hour news cycle like a bucking bronco.

This project taught me a lot about writing great headlines, choosing proper keywords, and creating content that’s laser-focused on your intended audience.
